Grandmas Sugar Cookies

Grew up with these, a real classic!

2 cups sugar            1 cup sourcrea
1 cup shortening        1 heaping tblsp soda
2 eggs                  1/2 tspn salt
1 cup sour cream        1 tsp lemon extract
approx. 4 cups flour    dash nutmeg

Combine all ingredients, roll out on floured
suface,  Cut and place on a greased cookie
sheet, sprinkle with sugar and bake in a 335 degree
to 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

These really melt in your mouth!!!!
