Sid’s Old Fashioned Sausage Gravy


INGREDIENTS:
2 pound ground pork sausage
3 ham bouillon cubes
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cans condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
½  cup water (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
Save the sausage drippings.
Reduce heat to medium, combine sausage with milk and flour into a large kettle gradually whisk milk into kettle. When the mixture is smooth, thickened, and begins to bubble, add bouillon cubes. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
Suggestions:

Serve over fresh biscuits, Pancakes, Texas toast or English muffins.
