Scalloped Potatoes
6-8 large potatoes
1 large onion (diced)
16 oz shredded cheddar cheese
flour
saltine crackers (crushed)
2 cubes of butter
1 cup milk (maybe a bit more)
salt on each layer
pepper on each layer
1/2 tsp oil
Preheat oven to 350*
Lightly grease bottom of pan. Layer one layer of potatoes and onions on bottom of pan. Sprinkle flour,crushed crackers and cheese over potatoes and onions. Cut butter into squares.Put 4 squares on top. Layer potatoes and onions over that and repeat above instructions until you have filled the pan to the top. Cover with cheese (don't scrimp on cheese). When you are finished pour enough milk into pan.(about 1/2 inch from top) 1-2 cups depending on your dish.
Bake for about 1 1/2 hours.
