Momma's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup of shortening
3/4 cup of brown sugar
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups of flour
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. chocolate chips
optional: 1 pkg. chopped nuts
Prepartion: Beat shortening, sugars, vanilla, water, & eggs until light and fluffy. Mix flour with soda & salt; blend into shortening mixture. Stir in nuts and chips. Drop onto greases baking sheets. Bake at 375* for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 8 dozen.
Note: Recipe may be halved, using 1 cup chips.
