Pony Punch
This is wonderful if you need a punch to serve a large crowd of people. (I even used this for my wedding reception.)
1 pkg. unsweetened cherry kool-aid
1 pkg. unsweetened strawberry kool-aid
2 cups sugar
3 quarts water
1 can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 ltr. ginger ale
Mix cherry kool-aid, strawberry kool-aid, sugar, water, orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate.
Just before serving slowly pour in ginger ale.
WHEN MAKING THIS FOR LARGE CROWDS, but unsure how much punch you will need. Have the sugar premeasured and in a ziplock sandich bag (labeled) and premeasure the water in containers. (washed out milk jugs or other similar containers work great for this, and label) Thaw the frozen juice concentrates. (enough for the max amount you think you may need.) Then mix as needed. Frozen juice concentrate not used can be re-frozen.
This makes the mixing much easier if everything is premeasured just to mix and pour.
Then it makes it easier if you mix up your main punch and fill up your punch bowl, and add the ginger ale to top it off. I didn't measure it when i have made it for large crowds. But still turns out great with lots of compliments. FAST & EASY & GOOD
Just as a side note this punch got its name from my Canadian sister-in-law who use to make it for horse shows when she was a teenager. So since it was at a horse show..... well you now know the rest of the story as to why it's called pony punch. (but you can call it what you want depending on your function.)
Oh and there is a cherry kool-aid that tasts like cherry but looks another color. This works great for a gooky green punch for Halloween. Tastes wonderful, but just a strange green color. lol just a little hint for you to try if having a halloween party for your child at home or school.
