CAKE PAN POTATOES

4 large potatoes
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. shredded cheese
3 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/3 c. light cream
 
  Cut potatoes like french fries.  Put in round glass cake dish.  Sprinkle with salt, pepper and cheese.  Dot with butter and onion.  Pour cream over.  Cover tightly with double thickness wax paper or foil.  Bake 425 degrees for 50 minutes.
