2 TB butter 2 TB ch. onion 3 TB ch. mushrooms, fresh or canned 2 TB. water or liquid from mushrooms 1/2 tea. salt Dash cayenne pepper 2 TB. light cream 2 tea. ch. parsley Wash the beans; remove the ends. Cut into 1-inch lengths. (or use 1/2 package frozen green beans, defrosted.) Melt the butter in a skillet; add beans, onion, mushrooms, water, salt, cayenne pepper. Cover & cook over low heat for 15 minutes or until beans are tender but firm. (Watch carefully and add a little water if you hear a sizzle sound.) Add the cream and parsley. Heat until cream bubbles & serve. We usually have a garden & the fresh green beans are great.
