B.L.T Soup
1 lb bacon
6 tomatoes
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 oz. chicken base
2 qt. water
1 head of lettuce
1/2 lb butter
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 qt. half & half
1 oz. ham base
Dice and brown bacon, add butter when this is melted add shredded lettuce; cook for 2-3 minutes; add your flour blend together and cook for about 2 minutes.
Set this mixture aside for a few minutes while you prepare the following. In a large dutch oven bring your water,
bases and spices to a boil, then add your bacon, lettuce,
and flour mixture to a boil,
now add your diced tomatoes and your half & half; simmer 10-15 minutes, or until the tomatoes are tender.
