Excellent Banana Bread(diabolical_sin)

So moist you'll think it's cake!

3 well-ripened bananas, smashed (soft but still hold together)
1 egg
1/2 c. butter, softened (optional)
1 c. sugar
1.5 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (optional)

Mix all ingredients well; don't over mix. Pour into a prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees F until done, about 30 to 60 minutes.

Notes:
Butter is optional. My mom accidentally left it out once and bread came out the same as always. I've left it out purposely and you can't tell the difference.
You can make bread in a traditional loaf pan, square 9x9 pan, or 8x11 casserole dish. Bread tests done when knife inserted into middle comes out clean.
