Mom's Chocolate Cake...with a twist
My mother made the best chocolate cake I ever tasted, and it came from a mix, with a simple natural addition.
1 box of Devil's Food or Dark Chocolate cake mix (the kind that lists vegetable oil as an ingredient)
1 ripe banana, preferably one that is considered too ripe for eating
Follow directions on the box of cake mix, using PEANUT OIL, and fold in the mashed banana.
Bake per instructions. Cool and frost with Dark Chocolate Frosting.
