Place a 6 ounce container of custard-style yogurt in the freezer for 45 minutes.
This should make it soft frozen and ready to eat.
It might be a little more time, or a little less time, depending on the freezer you own - and the setting you use for your freezer.
Now that you have the hang of this idea get your hands on some souffle cups. Or, save those aluminum mini-pie plates from those serving-sized pies you get at the supermarket if you purchase them.
Yogurt Mini Pies
1 quart vanilla or lemon yogurt
2 cups flaked coconut
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup melted margarine or butter substitute
*optional 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or lemon extract*
*optional 4 thin slices of lemon*
Mix the graham cracker crumbs, 1 cup of coconut flakes, and butter together.
Line the bottoms of the souffle dishes or mini pie plates.
*Optional - mix in the flavoring into the yogurt*
Top the pie crust with the yogurt mix.
Top the yogurt mix with the coconut, 1/4 cup per serving.
*Optional - top each mini-pie with a thin lemon slice.*
Place in the freezer as per your family tastes, approximately 45 minutes.
