This recipe does not need to be prepared in Romania, or another
Eastern European republic. My thanks to Joana of the Grove in Houston and Detroit for helping me to develop this little idea. Budvar is the Eastern European version of Budweiser.
1 large can Budweiser
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 sprig fresh dill, oregano, or one sliced apple
3 large or 6 small cucumbers, sliced
Place the sliced cucumbers in the bottom of the saucepan. Add the Budweiser and the apple cider vinegar, turn the flame onto low heat. Add the spice or the slice apple. Allow to cook for a few hours, to taste.
