 Welcome
Honey paper

To make this delcious and healthy desert of many

You need my basic Filo recipe...
Or ready made filo pastry.

Basically you just need honey for this recipe.

It is more like a sweet bread made with filo pastry.

I hope you enjoy it.

First off heat oven to 190.C 375.F  gas mark 5.
Grease a deep square tin big enough to fit the pastry i think about 15-20 inches will be just right.

Now its so basic you just roll the filo pastry into a thin strip good work with the hands required not to rip or crack pastry to be very careful.

Warm honey for 10-20 seconds in microwave.

You just place sheet of pastry onto the tin and spread the honey with brush allover sheet.
Now place the second sheet over the first pressing lightly with fingertips.
Now spread that sheet of paper and carry on until you have used all your filo pastry.
You need to use up to 15 sheets of pastry to make it a nice thick bread.
I use 20-25, but 15 is good except people said they want it thicker you can use up to thirty sheets because filo is not a thick pastry it is very very thin indeed.
Basically leave in the oven for around 15 minutes.
If you wish to leave longer always stay by oven and check if it is crispy and not burnt because it is very thin and does cook rather quickly.

Now i hope you enjoy this sweet bread as much as a do...
I give it to you with love please enjoy it as much as the household does!
